Honolulu Airport, Sept 16, 2001

On Sept 29, I was told that my memory card WOULD NOT be returned by the FAA, so I sent out some emails:

• Letter to ACLU Hawaii

• Letter to the Department of Justice (unanswered)

• Letter to the FAA and DOT Authorities
  (I think this letter may've produced results)

• Usenet posting

• Letter to Hawaii legislators

  • Representative Patsy Mink followed up on this)

  • New and Disturbing Reply from Senator Daniel Akaka

   

October 1, 2001:

• My camera AND memory card were returned, but only after the memory card were erased in the presence of FAA personnel.

• When the card was returned, I did a WWW search to find software that would allow me to recover:
